While we elders have ceded center stage, we still have one major power left to us -- the ability to bring the generations together to make meaningful change. This is the locus of Our Unique Power -- as conveners -- the catalyst for "turning experience into change."
If you are moved to work closely with the generations that follow us -- our mid-lifers and youth -- we invite you to our five-part Changemaker Workshop, where you can put the principles of Our Big Idea into action for you -- drawing inspiration and guidance from The Stories of successful social entrepreneurs and your fellow elders.
Here are some ways to become conveners:
We meet weekly for five sessions -- where we'll:
At the end of five weeks you'll be well on your way to implementing your own project in your own community.
You'll come away not only with a plan and new skills, but also a deeper appreciation for exactly what constitutes Elder Power and The Method you'll take with you wherever you go.

Here are some ways to become conveners:
- Join a ready-made initiative called "future design," practiced extensively in Japan but still relatively unknown in America. Here you can exercise your skills as conveners by bringing together the the generations to advocate on behalf of future generations.
- Or you can learn how to add value to the inter-disciplinary teams that assist low-income children and youth to overcome the ravages of poverty called "adverse childhood experiences."
- If you're inclined to work individually and in small groups -- and if you like to create something new and innovative, try beta-testing our Mutual Mentoring Program: Elders and Youth Working Together as Changemakers
We meet weekly for five sessions -- where we'll:
- " make a map" of your project;
- "mind the gaps" within the system you're interested in changing;
- and "build the app" that can guide you throughout.
At the end of five weeks you'll be well on your way to implementing your own project in your own community.
