DYNAMIC CHANNELS
Dynamic Channels are those organizational and personal connectors that link intentions with results. They are also where most of the energy flows in a system.  These channels are so ubiquitous as to be nearly invisible.

These dynamic channels are precisely where potential can get trapped and can get released. They can operate:
  • within the minds and hearts of individuals;
  • within group;
  • within a school playground or in a school’s daily schedule or yearly calendar.

Dynamic channels have a starting point (an on-ramp) and an ending point (an off-ramp), as well as barriers and facilitators in between them that can serve as gates, serving to close down, release and/or redirect the flow of energy.  For the change maker,

Here are three examples of dynamic channels:

Physical Channels:  See Andrea and Barry Coleman, founders of Riders for Health.

Situational Channels:  See Jill Vialet and Playworks.

Cognitive and Social Emotional Channels:  See Carol Dweck and a Metaphor to Live By.
