Our Work. We equip older persons to build multi-generational teams that draw upon the powers of successful social entrepreneurs to achieve positive results. Our first venture is in addressing climate change, and the next venture will be in tackling the issues surrounding children's and youth's mental health.
The Future Design Project is in working with Elders Climate Action to design and deliver on a multi-generational retreat -- scheduled for October 19, 2024 in Silicon Valley and organized around the powerful model of "future design" -- first developed by the Japanese economist Tatsuyoshi Saijo, implemented in Japan in the late 2010's, and now ready for trial runs in the United States.
In the short term we intend to train elder leaders in other Elder Climate Action chapters in this method in the United States and engage other interested potential stakeholders.
The Adverse Child Experiences Project involves gathering professionally trained elders to form interdisciplinary and multi-generational teams to address the constellation of critical mental health issues that comprise Adverse Childhood Experiences, aka "ACES." To launch this initiative we are seeking to partner with an professional organization that can serve as an "anchor tenant."
Our Differentiator. We are pioneers in the emerging field of multi-generational changemaking -- leveraging the untapped power of talented older persons who are eager to lead by bringing the generations together -- youth, mid-lifers and other older persons.
The Elder Changemaker Advisory Team. We are currently looking for a small team of older adult leaders who can serve as advisors in refining our product and start marketing our approach nationally.
