TURNING EXPERIENCE INTO CHANGE

A Big Idea and a Sound Investment
Dear Fellow Elders,

Many of us want to take action in these perilous times -- but most of us are unsure where to begin.

We have three big ideas to get you started:
  • Get inspired through exploring the stories of proven social entrepreneurs.
  • Get strategic by approaching existing problems in unconventional ways.
  • Get creative by connecting "the physics of changemaking" with the generations that follow.

When you begin to internalize these three big ideas, you'll begin to realize what we call "elder power" -- an amalgam of our resilience, creativity, "even-mindedness" and our occasional moments of wisdom.

And when it comes to our role as
conveners across generations -- we have the unique power of bringing together the entire age spectrum -- other elders, mid-lifers and youth. Working inter-generationally we can:
  • Leave a powerful legacy to our children and grandchildren through "future design";
  • Unleash the power of mutual mentoring for changemaking, where youth and elders work together to become changemakers.
  • Overcome the debilitating power "adverse childhood experiences," aka ACE's.

Your Next Step is to put the "three big ideas" to work for you through participating in our Changemaker Workshop © -- a guided, small-group experience where elders learn how to "make a map, mind the gaps and build an app" -- all leading to a personal action plan.  You'll enjoy the company of fellow budding social entrepreneurs and leave with practical tools and some momentum.

This adds up to the historic opportunity we call our "experience dividend."

In the meantime, you're welcome to browse this website, for it's full of resources and stimulating ideas.

And to learn more, come to our weekly Friday Open Office Hour (1pm ET / 10am PT on Zoom) for a short introduction, Q&A, and a taste of how we work. Please contact me for the link.
